Hope of Glory

"For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans...to give you a future of hope." (Jeremiah 29:11) Yes, hope is what God gives us. Jimmy Buffet says, "It takes no more time to see the good side of life than it takes to see the bad." This Christmas season, let's receive hope in our hearts. Let's have faith throughout the season that God will continue to fill our lives with joy and gladness. When we look at the lights on our Christmas tree that symbolize the light within our own selves, we're filled with love and peace. We know our future will be bright. We know that our loved ones will be blessed. "And you will have confidence, because there is hope." (Job 11:18). Let's not be distracted from that hope by bad news in the media or the pervasive advertising that tells us what we must have to be satisfied and attractive. Remembering that "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27) is the greatest gift we could ever receive, let's savor all the sounds, smells, and sights of Christmas. God bless.

Light and love,
Patty
